4. Cookies and tracking

Cookies are small files placed on your device. We use them to keep the site working, to understand how it is used and to measure advertising.

  • Essential cookies keep your basket, checkout and account areas working. The site cannot function without these.
  • Analytics cookies such as Google Analytics tell us which pages are visited and where visitors come from, in aggregate.
  • Advertising cookies such as the Meta Pixel and Google Ads tags measure whether an advert led to an enquiry or a sale, and allow us to show relevant adverts.

Non-essential cookies are only set where you have given consent through our cookie banner. You can change or withdraw that consent at any time through the banner or your browser settings, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser at any point.

5. Advertising and social media

We advertise on platforms including Facebook and Instagram, operated by Meta, and on Google. To do this we use the following.

Meta Pixel and conversions tracking

The Meta Pixel is a piece of code on our website that records actions such as viewing a product or submitting an enquiry, and reports them to Meta so we can measure our adverts and show them to relevant audiences. Where required, this only runs after you accept advertising cookies.

Custom and lookalike audiences

We may share a securely hashed version of your email address or telephone number with Meta or Google so that we can show adverts to existing customers, exclude them from campaigns, or reach people with similar characteristics. We do not sell your data, and the platforms are not permitted to use it for their own unrelated purposes.

Lead forms and social messages

If you submit a lead form on Facebook or Instagram, or message us through a social platform, we receive the details you provide and use them to respond to your enquiry. The platform's own privacy policy also applies to that interaction.

You can control the adverts you see and how your data is used for advertising in your Meta ad settings and your Google ad settings.

6. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with organisations that help us run the business, and only so far as they need it.

  • Delivery and courier companies, so your order reaches you
  • Installers and engineers, where you have asked us to arrange fitting
  • Payment processors and our bank
  • Website hosting, email and IT providers
  • Analytics and advertising platforms, as described in sections 4 and 5
  • Our accountants and professional advisers
  • Review platforms such as Trustpilot, where you have asked to leave a review or agreed to be invited

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to establish or defend legal claims.

7. International transfers

Some of our suppliers, particularly technology and advertising platforms, process data outside the UK. Where that happens we rely on UK adequacy regulations or on standard contractual clauses and additional safeguards, so that your information keeps an equivalent level of protection.

8. How long we keep it

  • Enquiries and quotations that do not lead to an order: up to 2 years
  • Customer and order records: 7 years from the end of the relevant financial year, to meet tax and accounting requirements
  • Marketing contacts: until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove you
  • Website analytics data: typically up to 26 months

When we no longer need your information we delete it or anonymise it so it can no longer identify you.

9. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Have inaccurate information corrected
  • Ask us to delete your information, where there is no overriding reason for us to keep it
  • Ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to our use of it
  • Object to direct marketing at any time, with no reason required
  • Ask us to transfer your information to another provider where this is technically possible
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent

To exercise any of these, email info@bradleysradiators.co.uk. We will respond within one month. There is no charge in normal circumstances.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.

10. Security

Our website runs over an encrypted connection, access to customer records is restricted to those who need it, and our suppliers are chosen on the basis that they apply appropriate safeguards. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information and we will tell you and the regulator if a breach is likely to affect your rights.

11. Children

Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with their details, contact us and we will delete them.

12. Changes and contact

We review this policy periodically and will update the date at the top whenever it changes. Where changes are significant we will make that clear on the website.
